Madison DX Club meeting of 9 September 2008 minutes:

 

The meeting of 9 September 2008 was held at the Green Lantern restaurant located in McFarland.

President Phil, KE9XN, opened the meeting at 7:20 PM.  Thirteen members and three visitors

attended the meeting. Two of the visitors joined the club.

 

MINUTES

The minutes of the previous business meeting (12 August 2008) were read and approved.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT

The Treasurer reported the club is solvent. There are 23 paid members.                     

 

DX REPORT

Activity from Europe at sundown on 20 mtrs. Some Chinese “Olympic” stations have been heard. Also some

JX and OX stations have been on.

 

CLUSTER

The Cluster is working. Packet station W9BG was relocated to the UW. A new antenna for W9BG was

required at the UW. W9BG is accessible via packet on 223.42 or via telnet at w9bg.com.

 

REPEATER

Working.

The Scholarship Fund has sufficient funds.

 

MEMBER NEWS

Don Evenson, K9JYX, and Chuck Forster, WA9ACI, joined the club tonight.

NEW BUSINESS

W9DXCC is coming up soon, September 19 and 20, 2008.

 

Ted, K9IMM, announced that he and Jim, W9GL, have been putting some tentative plans together

to operate from HR2, possibly in December.  

 

Meeting adjourned at 7:40 PM. The next meeting will be 14 October 2008 at the Green Lantern.
