The August 2010 meeting of the Madison DX Club was held on Tuesday, August
10, at the Green Lantern in McFarland, WI.
The meeting was called to order by President Bill – N9CHN at 7:30 PM
17 members attended.
Minutes of the July meeting were read and approved.
Treasurer’s report: Financial Statement of Account as of July 17,
2010 was read.
Committee reports:
- DX Report… Sun Spots! ZS8 on now but few have heard it (Prince Edward &
Marion Island)
- Repeater… Gari - NG9V: Repeater is working ( except at Bills house ).
- Packet Cluster… Ed - N9MW: W9BG is working.
- Website… Ed - N9MW: Web-Server working.
- e-mail… Ted - K9IMM: MDXC mail is working.
- Scholarship… Ed - N9MW: Scholarship fundraising is needed.
General Information:
Ted - K9IMM received his Belize license.
Steve - WB9YSD cleared for return to Antarctica – awaiting final word.
Jim - W9GL and Ted - K9IMM: preparation for a winter DX-pedition continues.
Herb - W9LA welcomed back to the MDXC meeting after a long illness
Old Business:
Contribution to BARS was made and acknowledged.
