2008 MDXC “Ham in Action”

Criteria; 

Entrant must be a member of the MDXC.

Minimum of 183 "DX-days" to qualify.

The period will be 0000Z 01/01/2008 to 2359Z 12/31/08.

DX contacts are per the ARRL DXCC Countries List.

Submit entry to N9MW on or before January 31, 2009. 

Generally the scoring will be on your honor, but if there are questions or close scores we reserve the right to audit submitted data.

Scoring;

Points are totaled as follows: 

1)                  Make a DX contact each day.  183 to qualify                               5 pt/day

2)                  New (all time) country, mode or band DX contact                      10pt/each

3)                  Make a DX call out in the DX-Cluster, 1/day                             5 pt/each

4)                  Submit log ARRL or CQWW DX contest with 100 or more Q’s  250pt.s

5)                  First QSO on a new mode for you                                                   100pt.s

6)                  Hold a Club office                                     Pres. 250, Sec. 200, VP 150pt.s

7)                  Put up a new antenna and make 5 DX QSOs                                 100pt.s

8)                  Get a new HF radio or amp and make 5 DX QSOs                        50 pts. 

9)                  Get a new member of the MDXC                                                   250pt.s 

Participant in a multi-op contest station qualifies for 4)    

Keeping Track; 

Write your call on the front of a 2008 calendar.  Items 1), 2) and 3) should be entered on a 2008 calendar.

Item 1), write the call of the DX station you worked in the appropriate day.

Item 2), write the call of the DX station and circle it in the appropriate day.

Item 3), put a check mark in the appropriate day.

On a plain piece of paper make notations of any credits for items 4) through 9).  Enter your call on the top of the paper and submit it with the calendar.
